Family caregiver training startup Abby Care has raised $82 million in Series C financing, according to Fortune reporting cited by Home Health Care News.

The San Francisco-based company trains and pays family members to become certified nursing assistants and home health aides for children, older adults, and individuals with disabilities requiring in-home care, using clinical oversight and AI-powered tools to document and communicate care to health systems and health plans.

Transformation Capital led the round, with new investors including CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures, and Pivotal Ventures, and additional capital from existing backers Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital, and Sequoia. The company previously raised $35 million in August 2025.

Abby Care operates as a Medicaid provider in eight states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.

Founder Havi Nguyen said the company aims to reduce unnecessary nursing hours, prevent hospitalizations through early detection, and mitigate patient placements in institutions, describing the model as easing healthcare burdens across the United States.
